nas_election | 11 years back here. My road to JDrama and Jpop.

So I decided to create an introduction post. I created my LJ back in 2009 as a personal diary but right now I'm using it to fangirl. How I comeback to LJ?

Basically I'm an avid Drama watcher any countries. I would say mostly I watch Korean then Japan then Chinese/Taiwanese contents dramas. But this year around April I suddenly went into the hole of Japanese dramas and I became an avid watcher of that one compared to Kr and Ch/Tw dramas (This mostly is thanks to Sato Takeru, Sakurada Dori, YamaKen, Oryo etc) . Hence LJ actually is where I realised I could find some old JDramas. I was searching some old Arashi member (Nino) JDrama since I loved him as an actor back in high school.

With JDrama I also start to rekindle my love with Anime and also venture out to JPop. It actually helps that I start to watch JP101 S01 and I started to learn about JPop artist. By this time I branch out to JPop and I left my Kpop world since it become boring and repetitive for me since my faves are on hiatus. My favorites would be One OK Rock, Official HIGE Dandism, Yonezu Kenshi, King Gnu, J01, Yuuri, Yoasobi and Lisa. This is also thanks to Spotify I get to know about all of them. Fast forward to October/November this year, I started playing JPop songs in YouTube playlist for top 100 Japanese songs currently because I notice there are some JPop songs not available in Spotify and I thought maybe I could watch some MV as well. Then this comes to a discovery of my current obsession SixTONES. Their song Mascara was playing in the back and I thought who is this guys. The song is so good and I noticed they are from J&A. It wasn't like any J&A act songs I heard before.

Previously I was hearing Snow Man and Naniwa Danshi songs since it was featured in Kieta Hatsukoi however SixTONES is the J&A act that interest me musically. After that, Youtube algorithm play Strawberry Breakfast and I was a goner. What's with the perfect vocals and rap that this guys have. I started to play and listen their official MV/PV as well as their live concert and it was awesome. Then I found out about their Johnny's Jr playlist with a whole 3 years worth of videos. I started watching all their clips and fell in love with their antics. Now here I am trying to find other SixTONES contents since I finished all their Youtube videos. The playlist that I play below and right now Rosy by SixTONES is number 10.

Overall I am a fan of SixTONES most frontly is because of their music. I really appreciate that they are under SONY and they also get to work with Yoshiki and King Gnu for some of their songs. Hello my favorite song of theirs is composed by King Gnu. Thank youuuu for this collab. I wish their new album will bring lots of great music as well and maybe one day Johnny's would be open to putting their songs on Spotify like what they did for Arashi.
